Nestled in the heart of Kentucky’s Bluegrass State, Skyview Vista, LLC is owned by Tim Jedra and Josh Lathery, who share an appreciation for exceptional animals, thoughtful breeding, and the special qualities of the Valais Blacknose sheep.
Our journey with the breed started simply by a chance viewing of two young F2 Valais Blacknose wethers named Domino and Uno. What began with two sheep quickly grew into a genuine appreciation for the breed. Their unmistakable appearance, personalities, and engaging nature sparked our interest in learning more about the Valais Blacknose, its history, bloodlines, and breeding traditions. Domino and Uno became the beginning of what would eventually grow into the vision for Skyview Vista.
Tim brings a lifetime of hands-on experience in the equine industry. Years spent working with horses have given him an appreciation for the importance of bloodlines, genetics, reproductive work, careful breeding decisions, and quality animal care. Those experiences have provided a natural foundation as Tim and Josh begin building their Valais Blacknose breeding program.
Our focus at Skyview Vista is 100% fullblood Valais Blacknose sheep. We are committed to learning the breed, understanding its Swiss heritage and standards, and making breeding decisions with the long-term quality of our small flock in mind.
We are learning, growing, and building our program one step at a time, and we believe that is exactly how it should be. Our goal isn't to become a large scale breeding operation. It is to develop a flock we are proud of and to raise healthy, quality Valais Blacknose sheep with the attention and care they deserve.
From Domino and Uno, the two young wethers who first introduced us to the breed, to the fullblood breeding program we are developing today, we are excited to see where this journey takes us
